June 1, 2017
It took three weeks for me to make this day happen. Maybe I was taking my time carefully sorting and tossing as I cleaned-out my office or maybe I was holding-on just a little longer. Needless to say, today I turned in my keys at Western.
My life was forever changed when I first walked through the doors of WOSC on June 20, 2007. However, the tears that I shed that day were shed for a different reason than the ones I shed today. Oh, how a building, a job, and people can change you!
Today I walked through this door at Western that now symbolizes so much to me, so much more than I ever could have imagined…the opportunities I’ve been given, the skills that I’ve learned, and the friends that I’ve made!
What a ride! I won’t cry because it’s over, I’ll smile because it happened. 💚
