“A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.”
My mom taped that quote to my bedside table a few decades ago. It still hangs where I can see it every day, and, lately, I’ve been drawn to it.
Today, I found myself in a bit of a funk, but I’m going to end the day happy and thankful for God’s timing.
How?!? That’s what gets me…HOW do little “winks” always play out at just the right time?
The top note I found in my door box – left by a former student. The bottom was stuck to my door by a student, not my own, who passed me in the hall and when I asked if she needed me, replied, “No, just a random note.” Finish off the wonder with an invitation to lunch; a short, kind text from a friend; and a surprise visit from one of our old rodeo kids and there you go…How?!? Need I even ask?
